Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday
- Float to other areas as needed
- Work in a 9-room lab with 2 active Electrophysiology (EP) labs performing ablations, implants, and left atrial appendage (LAA) procedures
- Multidisciplinary team environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology
- First-time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience not required)
Required Qualifications
- Electrophysiology Technician with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Licenses/Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Skills/Experience:
- Arrhythmia induction
- Insertion/programming of AICDs (Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators)
- Pacemaker insertion
- Tilt table study experience
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (for badge issuance)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification and transcript/diploma as applicable
- Foreign equivalency evaluation if education was obtained outside the U.S.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- TB test and questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Varicella vaccine or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year, updated annually (exceptions apply)
- Fingerprinting required if applicable (Home Health and Long-Term Care only)
Testing and Competency Exams
- Pass/Fail EKG (Dysrhythmia) exam required for all RNs (including Electrophysiology Techs)
- Must score 82% or higher
- Two attempts allowed with remediation after first failure
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- EPIC test required for Allied Health and RNs starting 9/19/23 (two attempts allowed)
Additional Requirements
- Floating policy acknowledgment (required for all agency staff)
- Contractor equipment acknowledgment form
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
- Facility-specific photo for badge (strict requirements)
- References:
- 2 supervisory references required for clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Work history verification for last 5 years
Schedule and Work Environment
- Monday through Friday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Floating to other units as needed
- High-volume EP labs with advanced cardiac procedures
