Job Details

  • Shift: 4x8 hour days (0800-1630)
  • Daily Caseload: 70 patients
  • Patient Ratio Experience: 1:4
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Documentation System: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue
  • Floating: No floating required
  • On-call: No
  • Local Radius Rule: Candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles may be approved case-by-case)
  • Pending State License: Accepted (can start with pending license)
  • First-timers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
  • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Proficiency with CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • Experience with Treatment - External Beam Therapy
  • Experience with IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
  • Knowledge of Prophylactic Treatments
  • Understanding of Radiation Safety

Experience & Requirements

  • Years of Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • References: Minimum 1 reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse within the past year
  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
    • Sex offender search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required and must be current
  • Drug Testing: Must be within 30 days of start and include standard panel (Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine, Benzodiazepines, Methadone, Propoxyphene)
  • Physical Exam: Must be completed within 1 year of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming good health and no physical limitations
  • Fit Mask Testing: Annual fit testing required (3M N95 1860 Small or Regular and Aura 9205 only)
  • Vaccinations & Health Requirements:
    • Flu vaccine required annually unless approved medical or religious exemption is granted
    • Tdap vaccination required (no declinations accepted; exemptions allowed with approval)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers required
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity documentation required
    • Varicella vaccination or immunity documentation required
    • COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory; proof of vaccination or signed declination accepted

Additional Information

  • Orientation: Orientation occurs every other Thursday; typically 2 days (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management training
  • Documentation Packet: Must submit in one PDF including cover page, candidate profile, specialty skills checklist, minimum 2 references, license verification, driver’s license, and social security card
  • Flu Shot Policy: Flu vaccination is mandatory unless medically or religiously exempt with proper documentation
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted unless approved due to distance rule
  • Return to Facility: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 3 years after last permanent date worked
  • Pass/Fail Testing: Candidates have two attempts to pass required exams before start
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required
  • No Onsite Certification Completion: Candidates must have all required certifications before start; no onsite completion allowed
