Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (ICU) - North Carolina

Contract Length

13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse in ICU
Patient Ratios: 1:2-3
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: No
Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units
Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating
Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
Pending License: Not accepted
Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
Contract Limit: 2 contracts max (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months to return
Guaranteed Hours: Call off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed
Must pass EKG competency exam with no exceptions

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
