Job Opportunity: Radiology Manager

Location: San Diego, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)


Job Description

  • This is a supervisory position.
  • Must have prior supervisory experience.
  • Variable start time between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • Prior experience in supervisory roles

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Comprehensive background checks required, including:
    • Criminal checks (county, national, sexual offender registry).
    • SSN trace with all aliases.
    • DMV check if driving is required (no DUI in last 5 years).
    • International background checks if applicable.
  • Monthly re-runs of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
  • State-specific Medi-Cal search in California required within 30 days of start and monthly thereafter.
  • License verification and no probationary status allowed.
  • Adjudication process for any background or license hits.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be updated if break in service >30 days).
  • Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required and must be updated annually.
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or titer + declination).
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start.
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines.
    • Hepatitis B – proof of vaccination and/or titer or signed declination.
    • Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines.
    • Seasonal flu vaccine strongly preferred during flu season; declination requires forms.
    • COVID vaccine required (bivalent acceptable) or signed declination.
  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start; must be re-run if break in service >30 days.

Competency Requirements

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for all RNs (passing score 80%+).
  • Color blindness testing required (online acceptable).
  • Competency exam required for clinical positions (passing score 80+).

References

  • Two professional references required from leadership roles within the past 2 years.
  • For supervisory roles, at least one reference should be from a manager, supervisor, or director.
  • References must confirm direct supervision.

Additional Notes

  • Orientation and facility-specific training modules will be assigned prior to start.
  • Per diem candidates have additional badge and training requirements.
  • Non-clinical modules and security agreements apply only to non-clinical staff.
  • Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and training requirements.

This position is ideal for experienced Radiology professionals with supervisory experience seeking a travel contract in California.
