Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Description

  • Schedule Requirements:

    • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
    • Weekend and Call requirements: Not specified
    • Holidays: If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall, expected to work both. If three major holidays fall, expected to work two.
    • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day.
    • Floating: Within facility if needed
  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling.

  • Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC

  • Patient Population: Adolescents through Geriatrics

  • Minimum Experience: 1 year in specialty

  • Required Skills:

    • BLS, ARRT-T certification
    • Experience with CT/iCT, CT simulation
    • Custom molds and shields
    • MRI/PET Scan
    • Simulation of treatment sites, tumor localization, block cutting
    • B-Mode Acquisition targeting
    • CBCT/kV/mV Imaging
    • Compensation filters, portal cast, wedges
    • Ability to calculate radiation dose
    • Experience with Phillips and Varian planning systems
    • External beam therapy, IMRT
    • Radiation safety and participation in Rapid Response/code teams

Required Qualifications

  • Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapeutic) certification
  • Experience with CT/iCT and CT simulation
  • Experience with custom molds and custom shields
  • Experience with MRI/PET Scan
  • Experience with simulation of treatment sites, tumor localization, and block cutting
  • Experience with B-Mode Acquisition targeting
  • Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging
