Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend
• Use of Phillips equipment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• At least 3 years of experience specifically in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required

Required Documents & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• I9 verification (for direct placements)
• E-Verify compliance (for direct placements)
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Education verification of highest level completed (ASN/BSN for RNs, GED/High School for Allied)
• PA FBI fingerprinting required (results within 5 years accepted)
• Physical exam completed within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming fitness to work
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• TB testing (QGold/TSpot preferred) within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• COVID vaccination (2 doses) or approved exemption (booster not required)
• Respirator safety clearance prior to start
• 2 professional references required
• Employment application required
• Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start, updated annually

• Completion of facility-specific training modules including:

  • Medication exam
  • Suicide precautions quiz (for RNs)
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training
  • Infection control
  • OSHA safety
  • Sexual harassment prevention
  • Safety, security, and emergency preparedness
• Photo for badge meeting specific guidelines (plain background, no hats/masks/glasses on head)
• Confidentiality agreement and job description review/signature prior to start

Work Schedule

• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend
