Registered Nurse — Emergency Room

Job Overview

• Travel/contract position in Marrero, Louisiana
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 48 hours per week
• Weekends required
• Every other holiday required
• Scrub color: navy

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• CPI
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric experience preferred

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/in school for the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG screening within 30 days of start
• License verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam within 12 months of start and annually
• Competency Exam within 12 months of start and annually
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam within 12 months of start and annually
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III annually
• Skills checklist within 12 months of start and annually
• Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps over 30 days

Health Requirements

• Tdap within 10 years
• TB screening or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire annually
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation or declination
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination during flu season

Notes

• Navy scrubs required
• Some pediatric experience is preferred
