Labor and Delivery RN

Location

Seattle, Washington

Contract

• 26 weeks
• Travel/contract role

Schedule

• Night shift
• 4x12 hours
• 19:00–7:30
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Experience

• 3–5 years of RN experience required
• 2 years of experience in a high-acuity, high-pace environment required
• High-risk labor and delivery experience required
• 5 years of high-risk experience is preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of registered nursing experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
• Experience working with High Risk patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Ability to circulate during deliveries
• Newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, thigh assessments, and newborn assessments
• Antepartum experience
• Post Partum experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring

Required Certifications

• BLS
• NRP

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced
• AWHONN Intermediate

Unit Details

• High-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit
• May float to postpartum, antepartum, and sister mother/baby facilities
• Uses electronic fetal monitoring
• EPIC experience is required
• Functions as baby nurse during delivery and continues newborn care until transfer to postpartum
