PCU/Stepdown RN

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in Spokane, Washington.
• The role is for stepdown or PCU nurses with cardiac drip experience; titrating and managing cardiac drips is a hardstop requirement.
• Travelers may float to Tele or MS floors if overstaffed.
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
• Expected ratio: 1:4–5.
• Every other weekend is required.
• One holiday may be chosen: Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both.
• 48 hours are approved.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• Cardiac drip experience with ability to titrate and manage drips.
• NURSYS verification.
• ACLS.
• BLS.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS.
• NRP.
• CHEMO.
• TNCC.
• EFM.
• IV Certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB).
• NIH Stroke Certification.
• CPI.

• Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
• 629 staffed beds.
• Teaching hospital.
• Epic charting.
