PreOp RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Santa Rosa, California.
• Pre/Post area for Surgery, Endo, Cath, IR, Radiology, and Infusions.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours, with variable start times from 5:30 AM to 8:00 AM and end times from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Preoperative experience with 2 years of experience
• Preoperative experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions.

Background / Compliance

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start.
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and then monthly after start.
• California Medi-Cal Search Result is required only if FACIS III cannot be run monthly.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG are required annually.
• Education verification required for highest level achieved, unless highest education level is high school.
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
• Work history verification must cover up to 7 years and explain gaps over 30 days.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.

Health / Pre-Start Documents

• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Fit test required within 1 year of start and renewed annually.
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 90 days of start.
• Tdap required within 10 years of start.
• Negative 9-panel drug screen required within 6 months of start.
• Flu vaccination or approved declination required during flu season.
• Color blind exam must be completed in person before start.
• RespSafety clearance required before start.
• TB questionnaire required within 90 days of start and renewed annually.
