Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Oak Hill, West Virginia
• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift, 3x12 hours: 19:15–06:45
• Every 3rd weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with 1 year of experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License

Work Setting

• Main patient population includes COPD and pneumonia
• Busy outpatient surgery department during the week
• ER can be busy at times
• 2–3 bed ICU on the same floor
• Uses Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 ventilators

Scheduling and Float

• Two day and one night shift per week
• May be required to work night shift if someone on that shift requests time off
• Floating within scope is required as needed
• Floating to sister facilities is allowed
• On-call is not required

Compliance and Onboarding

• Flu vaccine required unless exempt for medical or religious reasons
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Fit testing is required before start
• Tdap is required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray is required
• Drug screen is required
• References: 1 manager, supervisor, or charge nurse reference required
• Annual specialty skills checklist required

Additional Details

• Local candidates accepted within a 100-mile radius; 75–100 miles may be considered as an exception
• Guaranteed hours: 72–80 per pay period
