Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC Provider card required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC Provider card required
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM)
• Licensure: Valid Missouri RN license with primary source verification within 60 days of start
• Competencies: Medication/Pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as applicable
• Floating: Required to float to different units as needed
• Shift Requirements:

  • Ability to work assigned shifts fully
  • Ability to take call
  • Ability to work assigned weekends
  • Ability to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and international checks if applicable
• Drug screening (7-panel negative within 60 days)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
• Fit mask test within 1 year (not required for some tech roles)
• MO Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or MO Caregiver search must be on file within 60 days before start
• Photo for badge (new candidates only)
• Signed orientation safety manual and confidentiality agreements

Additional Notes

• 50% holiday coverage required during contract
• Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references required within the last 2 years
• Floating to different units is mandatory
• Prior travel experience is NOT required

This position offers an opportunity for RNs with at least 2 years of experience to work in a dynamic healthcare system with adult and geriatric patients, requiring flexibility in scheduling and unit assignments.
