Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Float Requirement: Must float to General Pediatrics and PICU as needed
• Call Requirement: Every other night
• Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
• Documentation System: EPIC (required)
• Medication Systems: Pyxis, Accudose, Omnicell

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years (highest requirement)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
• Pediatric Experience: Required; preferred experience in PICU, NICU, and General Pediatrics
• Clinical Skills:

  • Experience managing Bubble CPAP and ventilators such as HFOV, HFJV, Servo U, Astral Home Ventilators
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • State License

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• ACLS certification (AHA provider/instructor/RQI acceptable) may be required depending on qualification
• Tech Certification Verification (as applicable)
• Pass/Fail Testing (Medication Calculation, EKG where applicable)
• Competency exams including Medication Test/Pharmacology, Color Blind Testing, Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • TDAP (within last 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody titer (declination acceptable if low/equivocal)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination acceptable if low/equivocal)
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (excluding marijuana panel)
• Seasonal flu vaccination (Nov-April) or declination accepted
• COVID vaccination record preferred
