Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Description

  • Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday
  • Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics
  • Work Settings: Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Responsibilities:
    • Perform CT scans on inpatient, emergency room, and outpatient patients following facility protocols
    • Start IVs, obtain patient consents, and provide excellent patient care
    • Collaborate with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters
  • Equipment: Siemens and Philips CT Scanners, Epic Medical Records, Fuji PACs
  • Caseload: 4 rooms with an average of 12-24 patients per day
  • Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma Hospital with significant stroke alert volume
  • Scrub Color: Gray
  • Call Requirements: 8 days total with at least 2 weeks’ notice
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 3 years (1st time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • ARRT (R)(CT) – CT certification required
  • Licensure: Must be licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Georgia
  • Compliance: Full compliance with orientation and credentialing required to start on time
  • Background Checks and Verifications:
    • Background check within 30 days of start, including education verification
    • State license verification within 30 days prior to start
    • Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start
  • Health Requirements:
    • Physical exam within 12 months of start
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
    • TB questionnaire updated annually
    • Required immunizations or titers: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B
    • Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
  • Competency Exams:
    • Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
    • Other competency exams as applicable

  • Patient ratio and workload require ability to manage multiple patients efficiently
  • Must maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Orientation hours vary based on contract length
