Job Summary

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position in San Francisco, CA. The role involves working 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with weekend rotation required. No on-call duties. Floating as needed.

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications:
- California RN License
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience required
- 4 years ICU experience preferred (use 4 years as requirement)
Shift:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call required
Additional:
- Floating as needed

Background Checks & Compliance

7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
- Social Security Trace with all aliases
- County searches for last 7 years
- Nationwide Sex Offender Search (within 90 days of start)
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law)
Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
Work history verification required for up to 7 years

Certifications & Competencies

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification required
ICU RNs at this facility will be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start
Other certifications may be verified as applicable (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, CPI)
Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work)
Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana)
