Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend.
• Must have at least 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current RRT license for Maryland.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit (not explicitly required here but commonly needed in ICU/ED settings).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland.
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within the past year, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals.
• Primary source verification of state license.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Fit test with N95 mask within the past 12 months (on-site fit testing not available).
• Required immunizations and documentation:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or acceptable medical exemption.
  • Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot) within past 12 months; chest x-ray if positive TB history.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B series, positive titer, or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct-Mar).
• Negative 9-panel drug screen (excluding marijuana) within 30 days of start.

Additional Requirements

• References from two supervisors or above within the last 2 years.
• Completion of employment application and skills checklist as applicable.
• Competency exams and color vision testing as required.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.
