- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Some weekends required

Job Description
The EEG Tech is a multi-skilled allied health professional performing diagnostic testing procedures such as:
- Electroencephalograms (EEG)
- Evoked potentials (EP)
- Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
- Long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM)
- ICU and continuous EEG monitoring (ICU/EEG)
Work is performed under direct supervision of senior staff and physicians who interpret results. The technologist must analyze data during recordings to ensure validity and interpretability. Knowledge of clinical neurology is essential. Work settings include outpatient labs, emergency rooms, operating rooms, ICUs, special monitoring units, and bedside.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years combination of training and experience as a practicing clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital preferred
- Prior travel experience highly preferred (not strictly required but strongly favored)
Education
- Graduate of an approved school in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, OR
- Equivalent combination of training and experience as a practicing clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist or other clinical certification with similar patient care experience
Licensure and Certifications
- BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG.T) preferred but not required
Additional Requirements
- Traveler’s permanent address must be within 50 miles of the primary work site
- Flexibility to float to multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including criminal history and caregiver screening per Wisconsin state mandates
- Education verification or diploma/transcript as applicable
- Various health documents including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Immunizations or exemptions for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu, and others as required
- Drug screening per agency standards
- Facility-specific competency exams and orientation acknowledgments
- Annual skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable

Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an EEG Tech with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably with pediatric and trauma center exposure. The role requires strong clinical neurology knowledge, flexibility to float between units, and compliance with extensive credentialing and health requirements. BLS certification is mandatory, and prior travel experience is highly preferred. The position offers a structured weekday schedule with some weekend shifts and no on-call duties.
