Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Fridays off
- Possible Saturdays if needed
- Unit Systems: Epic (Medication, Documentation, Communication)
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Scrubs: Any
- Note: Travelers who have ever been former employees at any facility associated with this health system are not considered.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (M)
- BLS (AHA Provider only; instructor and RQI cards accepted)
- NH State License (copy required; verification required)
Additional Preferred/Required Certifications (Check unit description for applicability)
- ACLS (AHA Provider only)
- PALS (AHA Provider only)
- TNCC
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Tech Certification (National)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - Required for certain units; includes Basic Dysrhythmia EKG exam with 80% passing score within 48 hours of contract signing
- State License Verification
Background Checks & Verifications
- Complete background check within 30 days of start, including:
- Social Security Verification
- National Sex Offender Registry
- National Criminal Search
- FACIS L3
- Education Verification
- Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties; NH State Police Search required)
- BEAS State Registry (NH placements only)
- Motor Vehicle Background Check (if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification required (High school acceptable for CNAs)
- Transcript/Diploma accepted if education verification pending
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit Mask test (annual) for clinical candidates (N95 or equivalent masks)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (titers NOT accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot)
- TB Questionnaire (required for all travelers)
- Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
- Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
- Flu vaccination required annually (October 31 - April 1); medical and religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation and approval
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (7-day grace period allowed)
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (internal requirement)
- Competency Exam (internal requirement)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (time sensitive; required within 48 hours of contract signing for specific units)
Documentation & Other Requirements
- Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be from a supervisor)
- Employment application required
- Skills checklist required
- Internal evaluation required annually for travelers with 1+ year with agency
- Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg)
- Proof of auto insurance required for Home Health, Hospice Care, and Visiting Nurse Association candidates
- Compliance attestation required upon clearance
- Respiratory Safety Clearance questionnaire required for all clinical travelers
Notes
- Locals within 50 miles accepted with rate adjustment
- Facility uses Epic system
- Travelers must complete all required background checks, immunizations, and competency exams prior to start
- Religious and medical exemption forms available for flu and Tdap vaccines with approval process
