Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Experience: Must have surgical experience including urology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, and other surgical diagnoses.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Radius Rule: 75 miles radius

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Licensure:

  • Permanent Missouri RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 60 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 60 days of start
  • Missouri State Mandated EDL Search within 60 days of start
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest x-ray within 5 years and TB questionnaire within 1 year
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
  • TDAP vaccine required for NICU and Family Birthplace placements (within 10 years)
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (Sept 1 - Mar 31) or approved exemption
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Competency & Skills:

  • EPIC Pass/Fail testing administered onsite (2 attempts allowed)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Color blind testing (Relias online exam acceptable)
  • Annual skills checklist required
• Other:

  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge
  • Completion of facility-specific e-learning within 3-5 days of receiving access
  • 2 professional references required
  • Employment application required
