Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Identification & Employment Eligibility

Background Checks

  • 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 60 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 60 days of start
  • International background check if candidate traveled outside the USA in last 7 years
  • Missouri-specific background searches (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) required within 60 days; candidate cannot start with both pending
  • Education verification as applicable by specialty

Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RNs in critical care areas (Cath Lab, CCU, ICU, ER, L&D, etc.)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all RNs
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER, Pediatrics, PICU RNs
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for L&D, NICU, Postpartum, Nursery RNs
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy Certification): Required for Oncology (new requirement starting 3/28/25)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER RNs starting 11/5/2024
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for L&D RNs, must be updated every 2 years
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs (Blue Card)
  • Allied health professionals require specialty-specific certifications (e.g., ARRT for Radiology Techs, ASCP for Lab Techs)

Licenses & Verifications

  • Primary source verification of state license within 60 days of start
  • NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 60 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, must be initiated within 48 hours of signing
  • Fit Mask Test: Valid fit test within 1 year of start (exceptions apply for some tech roles)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Required within 10 years or approved exemption (for candidates signed on or after 7/1/2023)
  • TB Screening: Negative QGold, TSpot, or 2-step PPD within 1 year; annual updates required
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted, medical exemptions require approval
  • Hepatitis B: Series or positive titer required for new candidates signed on or after 7/1/2023; no declinations accepted without exemption
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted, medical exemptions require approval
  • Drug Testing: Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) or approved medical/religious exemption
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: No longer required as of 11/21/2023

Competency & Training Requirements

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Core HIPAA training and safety manual acknowledgment
  • Conscious Sedation competency for GI Lab RNs
  • Annual skills checklist update required for clinical staff

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within last 2 years (required for non-clinical roles)
  • Resume with minimum 7 years employment history, no gaps over 30 days, education details, and contact info
  • Photo for badge (new candidates only)
  • Various facility-specific forms including TB survey, employment eligibility certification, confidentiality agreement, and new hire packet
