Registered Nurse - NICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Start date must be on or around July 15.
  • Orientation includes a mandatory medication exam (pass/fail, one attempt only). Failure results in immediate contract cancellation. Study materials provided.
  • Must have prior experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • NICU experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

  • Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
  • Facility requires strict compliance with pass/fail testing policies; only one attempt allowed for medication and telemetry exams.
  • Telemetry exam is not required for NICU.
  • Study materials and pre-orientation modules may be provided to assist with exam preparation.
  • Background checks and verifications must be current and comply with state and facility requirements.
  • Facility-specific declination forms are required if vaccines are declined, except where declinations are not accepted (Peds, Maternity, NICU).
  • Candidates must be aware that failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in immediate contract cancellation.
