MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Northfield, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening, Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)

Job Summary

• Perform MRI technologist duties with a focus on Siemens Aera 1.5T equipment
• Utilize Meditech Expanse electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Valid state MRI technologist license for Minnesota (state license verification required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferably AHA or American Red Cross)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• National MRI Technologist certification as applicable
• Completion of required competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency if applicable

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Emergency contact form completed prior to start
• Background check including nationwide and county searches for the last 7 years, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask certification completed within 12 months (specific mask models required)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity including:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) for candidates born in 1957 or later
  • Hepatitis B series or titer
  • Varicella vaccine, titer, or history of chickenpox
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved religious exemption during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious exemption as per facility policy
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprint clearance required before start (includes fingerprinting and questionnaire completion)

Additional Information

• Two professional references required for travel or acute care allied positions (within 3 years)
• Facility will provide first day instructions and pre-arrival contact
• Must comply with all state and facility-specific licensing and credentialing requirements
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
