Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location
- North Hollywood, California
- Outpatient imaging and interventional center
- Occasional rotation to another imaging center nearby
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Holiday coverage required
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARDMS certification required
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
- Vascular Sonographer experience
Licenses & Certifications
- Current and valid professional license for Ultrasound Tech
- ARDMS registration in ABD and OB/Gyn required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit/specialty (verify with recruiter or manager)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Current background check within 30 days of start, including:
- Social Security Trace
- 7-year National Criminal History Search
- National Sex Offender Search
- FACIS level 3 search (includes OFAC)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- Education verification required (diploma or official transcripts acceptable)
- Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30+ days
- Work history verification for last 5 years
- Two professional references required (one within last year, supervisor level or above)
- Skills checklist required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Negative TB test (QGold) or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination within past year
- Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination per facility guidelines (monovalent vaccine dose required after 9/12/2023 or declination)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (Aya requirement)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules prior to start, including but not limited to:
- HIPAA training and acknowledgment
- Harassment prevention training (California mandated)
- Confidentiality agreement
- Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) if applicable
- Facility-specific abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
- Online training modules such as C-ICARE, Code of Conduct, Radiation Hazard Awareness, Age Specific Training, and Safe Patient Handling
- Photo ID for badge required within 72 hours of signing contract
- Access request forms and other facility-specific paperwork due prior to start
- Fit mask testing and compliance with approved mask models required within 1 year of start
- Some forms and training certificates must be saved and submitted as proof of completion
