Job Overview

• Location: Lubbock, Texas
• Employment type: Travel/Contract

• Bed size: 379 staffed beds
• Trauma level: Level II Trauma Center

Schedule and Work Conditions

• Floating between units is required.
• Weekends are required: 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
• On-call is not required.
• Block scheduling is not required.
• Patient ratio is 1:5–6.
• 48-hour workweeks are not approved.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• 1 year of Med Surg experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NURSYS verification
• Skills checklist
• Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment
• Background check
• Education verification
• Drug screen
• Physical exam
• Fit mask clearance
• TB clearance
• Tdap documentation
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella immunity documentation
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination
• Respiratory safety clearance

• Government-issued photo ID is required.
• Social Security card is required as applicable for I-9s.
• A float policy acknowledgement is required.
• Badge photo is required.
• Parking is free in unrestricted employee/visitor parking areas.
