Pediatrics (LVN / LPN) Travel/Contract Position
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Details
- Work setting: Small pediatric office with 1-4 providers
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- No weekend shifts required
- Charting system: Epic
- Local candidates preferred
- Contract end date: November 25, 2026
- Accepts first-time travel nurses (no prior travel experience required)
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of LPN / LVN experience within the last year
- Pediatrics experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid driver’s license or state ID
- Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release required within 30 days prior to start
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal search, and federal databases
- Education verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
- Required health documents within specified timeframes:
- Physical exam within 12 months, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Immunizations or valid declinations for: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu, COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or facility-specific declination)
- Drug screening within 30 days of start covering a comprehensive panel
- Pass medication competency exam with minimum 80% on first day of orientation
- NURSYS license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Employment application documenting 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Two professional references within the last three years
Additional Notes
- Candidates must pass required medication and telemetry exams (if applicable) on the first day of orientation to avoid cancellation
- Some declinations (e.g., MMR, Hepatitis B, TDAP, Varicella) are not accepted for pediatric settings
- Facility-specific questionnaires and attestations related to TB and background checks are required
- Competency exams and certifications may be required or recommended depending on specialty and unit
