Job Opportunity: Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Full-time travel/contract role as an Oncology Registered Nurse.
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (no nights, weekends, holidays, or call required).
• Float assignment across multiple infusion centers within East Tennessee, including Maryville, Lenoir City, Downtown, Oak Ridge, and others.
• Strict holiday time-off policy: no time off during specified holidays and holiday weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Oncology (1 year of experience).
• Oncology experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Chemotherapy.
• OCN.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Infusion experience.

Certifications Required (Must be current and uploaded as actual certificates)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or ONS/ONCC Chemo Certification
• Chemotherapy Certification
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (contact program management if unclear).

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge: passport-style, solid background, no filters or facial piercings.
• Completion of onboarding attestation and review of onboarding documents prior to start.
• Utility bill or lease/mortgage statement matching license address if living more than 75 miles from facility.
• Must be willing to float to multiple infusion centers as needed.

Work Environment & Schedule

• 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, day shift only.
• No night shifts, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
• Floating required across several infusion centers in the region.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Candidates will have the opportunity to speak with the Chief Nursing Officer before accepting or starting the assignment.
• Time off requests during holidays will generally not be accommodated.

This position is ideal for an experienced Oncology RN with chemotherapy/infusion expertise seeking a travel contract with a stable day shift schedule and no weekend or holiday work.
