Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

Job Description

• Work in a primary care outpatient clinic with a team-based "pod" model including pharmacists, providers, and social workers.
• Schedule options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts (negotiable).
• Patient population includes pregnant people, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with moderately stable to moderately unstable conditions and complex social determinants of health (SDOH) barriers.
• Responsibilities include patient visits, telephone triage and advice, in-basket management in EPIC for care management, care coordination, discharge planning follow-up, and medical condition triage/advice.
• Care coordination and disease management are high priorities.
• Visit types include in-person, virtual, and telephone.
• Services offered: nurse telephone and in-clinic triage, behavioral health and counseling, reproductive and transgender health care, podiatry, prenatal care, pediatric care, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), sports medicine, acupuncture, minor procedures, and preventive care.
• Floating within scope may be required, possibly to an East Portland clinic.
• Weekend requirement: no more than one Saturday per month.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a clinic or outpatient setting, including ambulatory care.
• Clinic experience within the last year is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Shift Details

• Day shift, typically 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (4x10 hours).
• 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers accepted; prior travel experience is not required.
