Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greenville, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 on / 7 off)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed for a travel contract position.
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Mississippi.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Social Security Card required within 48 hours of signed contract.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
• Complete 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years. Must be finalized prior to start (no pending results).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions.
• Mississippi Department of Health fingerprint background screening required within the last 2 years. Candidates may provide a Letter of Suitability or complete fingerprinting through the agency. Results must be on file prior to start.
• Highest level of education must be verified; diploma or transcript acceptable for pending verifications.
• Drug screening: 10-panel test required within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable, but not onsite).
• Physical exam required within one year of start (no annual update needed).
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within one year of start; chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD. TB questionnaire must be updated annually.
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination with proof)
  • Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccine required or approved religious/medical exemption prior to start.

Documentation and Training

• Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start, including confidentiality and security agreements.
• Proof of OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training required (signed attestation or CORE testing acceptable).
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
• Competency exams required.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completed employment application/resume.
• Skills checklist for applicable unit must be updated annually.
• Performance evaluation required if employed with the agency over 1 year.
