Computed Tomography Technologist

• Location: University Parkway Aiken, South Carolina
• Employment type: Temp
• Shift: 12-hour night shift
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• Schedule: Wednesday–Friday, 7p–7a or Saturday–Monday, 7p–7a
• Call: Required
• Work setting: Freestanding ED
• Additional duties: Must also perform x-rays

Required qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• ARRT (CT)
• Associate's Degree or equivalent
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients

Core responsibilities

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment
• Adjust technical factors and position patients correctly
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data
• Produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supplies, contrast reactions, and codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
