Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) - Hawaii

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

Provide med/surg level care for patients aged 18 and over.
May float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units.
Work various shift lengths and days; flexibility required.
Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation.
No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Equipment used includes Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, etc.

Required Qualifications

License: Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in med/surg or higher level of care.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
Shift Availability: Day or night shifts (to be determined).
Other: Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment.

Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5
Unit size: 50 beds
Dress code: Professional nursing attire, closed-toe shoes, no specific scrub colors required.
Orientation: Department-specific training included in the first week.
