Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location

• Washington State, Peninsula area (includes Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Port Townsend)
• Must be able to work at any clinic on the peninsula

Employment Type

• Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-13 hour shifts, AM & PM (any shift depending on staffing needs)
• Hours per week: 36

Job Description

• Oversee delivery of dialysis and patient care in a chronic, in-center dialysis setting
• Provide patient education
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians
• Adjust treatment plans per standing orders and care plans
• Monitor patient outcomes
• Administer medications
• Participate in quality improvement projects
• Collaborate with care team members including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• STABLE program certification
• Advanced Surgical Life Support (ASLS) certification
• Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification
• Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT) certification
