Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) - Contract Opportunity in Alaska
Location: Sitka, Alaska

Job Summary
Urgent need for an experienced Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT and X-Ray. The technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts, applying professional judgment and radiation protection principles. The role includes maintaining patient records, quality assurance responsibilities, rotating shifts, and being available for on-call duties with a response time of 20 minutes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic medical radiography within the department and other areas.
- Provide radiographic examinations for diagnostic interpretation.
- Maintain patient records and files accurately.
- Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance programs.
- Pursue continuing education to maintain and enhance skills.
- Transfer patients to and from radiology as needed.
- Rotate shifts as required and be willing to take call.
- Assist with general hygiene of the department and self.
- Work effectively under stress and perform ancillary duties as assigned.
- Follow all policies and procedures established by administration.
- Work respectfully with patients and staff from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or completion of a CT/XR training program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist specializing in CT within the last year.
- BLS certification.
Additional Information
- Must be willing and able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.
- Prior travel experience is required (applicants must live at least 50 miles away from the facility).
- No housing or flight accommodations provided.
