Physical Therapist Opportunity

Location: Tonasket, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Department: Physical Therapy
• Certifications Required: BLS
• Patient Load: 3-11 patients per day
• Patient Types:

  • All ages from infants to geriatrics
  • Conditions include pelvic floor, hand therapy, post-stroke, total joints, pediatrics (including autism)
  • Open to all diagnoses that come through the door

Work Setting

• Covers Inpatient, Outpatient, and Long-Term Care (LTC)
• Typically assigned to a specific area but may float to cover others

Experience & Skills

• Flexibility to treat any patient regardless of age or diagnosis
• Preferred experience with both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Open to first-time travelers

Team Structure

• Works alongside PT, OT, clerical staff, rehab techs, massage therapists, and management

Scheduling

• Some schedule flexibility, determined by manager
• Outpatient shifts typically start at 7:30 AM with 8, 9, or 10-hour days
• No weekend or holiday requirements

Orientation & Culture

• Department-specific orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Traveler-friendly environment with inclusion in staff activities
• Small town living near the Canadian border with many outdoor activities
• Community has a 30% Spanish-speaking population

Dress Code

• Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs
