Job Opportunity: House Supervisor

Location

Santa Cruz, California

Position Details

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per day: 12
Hours per week: 36
Coverage: 24/7 hospital-wide coverage with 8-hour shifts
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Work integrated into permanent staff rotation
Orientation: 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation
Scrub color: Navy

Job Description

Manage hospital staffing and bed assignments
Collaborate with charge nurses
Respond to patient complaints and staffing issues
Contact administration as needed
Call in cath lab and OR teams during off hours
Must have prior experience as a house supervisor
Patient types vary depending on unit
Hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7
Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services available 24/7
IV team available during the day

Required Qualifications

Active California nursing license (RN)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
COVID-19 vaccination required (with certification)

Additional Information

Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
First to float on every other weekend shift (6p-6a)
