35-bed unit
Ratios: days 1:5, nights 1:6
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with stroke, SCI, amputee, BI, critical illness, neurological disease, MS, and Parkinsons
Will float to MedSurg
Shifts: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
Self-scheduling: cyclic self-scheduling
Weekend requirement: at minimum every 3rd weekend
Holiday requirement: at minimum 2 holidays
Call/standby: no
Orientation: classroom orientation plus 2 unit shifts

RN license
BLS
Driver’s license required at submittal
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
Must be outside the 50-mile radius
RTO must be provided upfront; 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract

Charge nurse on each shift
Nurse aides/patient care techs present, ratio 1:10-15
Common titratable/set-rate drips include antibiotics, anticoagulation, and antiplatelets
RNs are not required to titrate drips

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, innovative problem solving, compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and collaboration are noted as helpful for success
