CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Colorado, Lakewood

Job Details

• Specialty: Multi Modality Tech (CT/Xray Tech)
• Location: Lakewood, Colorado
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (18:45 PM - 06:45 AM)
• Hours: 12 hours per shift, approximately 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Holiday Requirement: One summer and one winter holiday off
• Call/Standby: None
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling allowed; manager may adjust to balance schedule

Department & Work Environment

• Department: Radiology (CT and X-ray)
• Equipment: 1 CT scanner, 1 plain film, 1 portable unit (Siemens, Care Stream portable; GE at other locations)
• Imaging Types: Orthopedic portable images, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, CTA
• Average Studies per Day: 10-15
• EMR/PACS Systems: Synapse, Epic
• Radiologist: No in-house radiologist
• Float: Possible but unlikely to other locations
• Additional Duties: May be asked to train in point-of-care (POC) lab and support nursing staff; training provided
• Orientation: 2 days department-specific orientation
• Scrubs: Gray scrubs required; not provided

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (AHA)
  • Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• Experience: Teamwork skills required
• Preferred Skills: Ability to start IVs preferred
• Radiology Assistants: Not used in this department

Additional Information

• Agency must provide traveler radiation badge
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote
• Must submit driver's license (radius requirement: 60 miles)
