Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• 5 eight-hour shifts per week
• Late-stay rotations and on-call rotations
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN role
• BLS certification for RN circulators
• 3 years of OR RN experience
• Experience circulating in a variety of cases
• General surgery and orthopedic experience, including total joints
• Experience in similar-sized facilities, Trauma Level 3 or 4, and/or Critical Access Hospitals

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Plastics experience
• Scrub experience

Clinical Setting

• 7 operating suites
• Average of 5 to 25 cases per day
• Rural community hospital with a wide variety of cases

Case Mix

• General surgery
• Orthopedic/sports medicine
• Plastics and cosmetics
• Podiatry
• Cataracts/eye procedures
• OB/GYN/women’s health, non-cancer related
• Endoscopy/colonoscopy

Responsibilities

• Circulating in the OR
• May float to OR scrub role, PAA/PACU, sterile processing, or helping hands

Orientation

• 1 to 2 shifts with a preceptor
• 1 to 2 call shifts with a preceptor

Call Requirements

• Weeknight call: 1 to 2 times per week
• Weekend call: 1 to 2 times per month
• Holiday call rotation may be required

• Travelers are expected to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
