Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Munster, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), including weekends
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
Weekend Shifts: Alternate weekends
Call Requirements: Required to float to other departments including Dyer
Years of Experience Required: 5 years in specialty
Required Certifications: BLS, Telemetry
Float Requirements: Required

Unit Information

Unit: 2 North
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 5:1 or 6:1
Equipment Used: Alaris pumps, SCD machines, PCA pumps, telemetry, posey alarms
EMR System: Epic documentation required
Type of Patients: Medical/Surgical

Skills & Experience

Must Have: Telemetry experience, Epic documentation proficiency
Preferred: 5 years of experience in specialty
Personality Fit: Team player who promotes patient and staff satisfaction

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Navy blue

Additional Information

Education modules may be required prior to the first day
Parking available within yellow line parking spaces; report to unit 2 North

Nurse-patient ratios are decent.

Cons

Don’t work on 3north. The manager will not even acknowledge you exist and everything that goes wrong will be “the travelers” fault no matter what. She only cares about her real staff. Worst, most unprofessional manager ever.
