Number of Beds: 25
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 free charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 2 patient care technicians (PCTs), 5 RNs
- Night Shift: 5 RNs, 1 PCT
Patient Ratios: Typically 6:1, sometimes 5:1
Equipment: Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, SCD pumps
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

General medical/surgical nursing competencies
Ability to manage:
- Chest tubes
- Non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Weight-based heparin drips

The unit is well-staffed with experienced personnel.
Competitive market; having the preferred skills and certifications will improve chances of selection.
Exposure to advanced cardiac monitoring and infusion management on a telemetry unit.
