Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel)

Location: Hudson, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech with experience in cardiac catheterization, CRM, and peripheral vascular (PV) procedures. The role involves working in a Level II Trauma Center with a 5-suite cardiac cath lab unit.

Unit Details

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Beds: 5 procedure suites
• Staff: 1 Director, 1 CNC, ~4.6 RNs, 5 techs
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Full staff coverage
  • Night Shift: On-call crew for emergent cases only
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
• Equipment: Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
• EMR Systems: MacLab & Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in specialty
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Must Have Experience:

  • Cardiac Cath
  • CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management)
  • Peripheral Vascular (PV)
• Preferred Skills:

  • EP/ABL (Electrophysiology/Ablation)

Typical Procedures

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
• Peripheral Vascular procedures
• Pacemakers, ICDs
• Watchman device implantation
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Electrophysiology/Ablation procedures

Work Schedule and Expectations

• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
