Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Specialty: RN - Acute MedSurgical

Job Summary

Provide independent nursing care in a general medical-surgical setting with some orthopedic, behavioral health, OB surgical, and pediatric patients.
Deliver routine and complex care while managing clinical contingencies.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
Practice consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Experience in general medical-surgical nursing preferred.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
Current RN license in New Mexico or compact license.
BLS certification (AHA only).

Work Details

Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
