Position Details

Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Staffing: Student nurse externs available as techs; Unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
- Floating Policy: Float as needed depending on unit census
- Dress Code: Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black); scrub jackets or vests only
Required Skills & Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac nursing)
- Cardiac Experience: Must have cardiac and strong critical care experience
- Advanced Skills:
- PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Impella device
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred
- Procedures Performed: Central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, intubations
Certifications & Licenses
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
