Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Travel)

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with call required
Call Requirements: Split among nurses for 24/7 unit coverage


Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years of CVOR Tech experience
  • BLS and AED certification required
  • CST certification preferred
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical tech support in the CVOR operating room
  • Ensure patient safety during complex open-heart and vascular cases
  • Manage documentation and workflow coordination
  • Maintain sterile field support during surgical procedures
  • Float to OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled

Additional Information

  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • EMR systems used: PICIS and Medhost
  • Hospital provides laundered scrubs
  • 48-hour weekly guarantees are not approved
  • Blocked scheduling cannot be approved
  • Maximum requested time off (RTO): 1 week
  • Holiday work required
