Travel Surgical Technologist

Assignment Overview

Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho
Setting: Operating Room
Schedule: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Start date: Must be able to start 10/26 or later

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS
CST

Schedule Details

Weekend call rotates every four weeks
Call is used to fill evening and night staffing gaps Monday through Thursday
Typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours
Total work and call time is generally kept to no more than 60 hours per week

Pros

Management is willing to work with RTO pretty easily. GE machines are easy to use and proximity of ER with CT is set up nicely.

Cons

Communication with management is sometimes awful. Especially with contract extensions. HR also did not pay me for a day due to a missed punch. Instead of contacting me about issues, they just didnt pay me and it took two months to resolve that missing pay.
