- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of chest tubes
- Dysthymia training
Unit Details
- Telemetry unit
- 36 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum ratio 6:1, sometimes 7:1
- Staff support includes patient care techs on day and night shift and unit clerks on day shift
- Uses remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating may include Ortho/Med-Surg
Scheduling
- Every other weekend

- Telemetry experience
- Knowledge of chest tubes
- Dysthymia training
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Chest tube insertions
- Bedside paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
Dress Code
- Any scrubs except camo
