Contract Length

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Interventional Radiology (1 year of experience)
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification with ARNA

Unit Details

• Interventional Radiology
• 1 IR angiosuite
• 5 IR holding area beds
• 1:1 patient ratio in Imaging

Clinical Setting

• Invasive and non-invasive procedures in the IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Imaging department
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs
• Maintain IV lines for patients receiving IV fluids
• Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort
• Administer medications under physician direction
• Assist in various procedures in the Imaging department
• Maintain IV skills
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies
• Keep crash cart and emergency drug reaction kits stocked and in proper working order
• Serve as liaison between the Imaging department and patient care division
• Document patient records while in the Imaging department
• Notify appropriate staff of adverse changes in patient condition or patient care issues
• Coordinate policy and procedure changes affecting patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide hospitality, courtesy, and compassion

Dress Code

• Surgical scrubs provided for procedure area
• Street clothes not allowed
