Overview
- Travel RN role in PreOp/PACU.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Hours per week: 36.
- Location: Fredericksburg, Texas.
Unit details
- Unit includes 4 preop bays, 6 Recovery bays, 6 Restore/PCI rooms, 5 ORs, 1 Cath Lab, 2 Endo suites, and 12 Outpatient endo/pre/post rooms.
- Patient ratios follow ASPAN standards.
- EMR: Meditech.
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- Preoperative experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Preferred qualifications
- Meditech experience.
- Regional block assistance.
Procedures / clinical exposure
- General, Ortho, Gyn, Vascular, GI, PCI, IR.
- Blood transfusions.
Schedule / call
- Day shift: 8 hours, 5 days, 0900-1730 with flexibility.
- Night shift: on call.
- 1 weekend call per month (Fri/Sat/Sun) and 1 weekday call per month.

- Within unit.
