Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Float Requirement: Yes
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical 4 South
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4.5 patients
- Patient Population: Medical-surgical
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Details
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Replacement position (covering an existing staff member)
- Reporting Location: Heart Center, 4th floor – Medical 4 South
- Candidates may be required to complete education modules prior to the first day
Summary
This travel RN position is for a medical-surgical unit with a 12-week contract in Indianapolis. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of med-surg experience, including recent experience within the last year, BLS certification, and the ability to float as needed. The shift is 12.5 hours, with every third weekend required. The unit uses Epic EMR and maintains a patient ratio of approximately 1:4.5. Navy blue scrubs are the required attire.
