Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Hospice

Location: Duluth, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel

Contract Details

Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Weekend/Holiday: Every 4th weekend
On Call: May be on call with minimum 2-hour call back
Float: Travel within 40 miles of Duluth and into Wisconsin
Low Census: Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours

Job Description

Provide hospice and skilled home care nursing
Work independently in various environments including homes, assisted living, group homes, and nursing homes
Travel from home to home for patient visits (4-5 visits per shift)
Use remote client charting system (Epic - Dorothy Comfort Program preferred)
Strong assessment skills required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Minimum 1 year of Hospice Palliative Care RN experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Hospice experience

Additional Information

Candidates with experience working in colder climates (Midwest, Northeast, Mountain regions) preferred for winter start dates
Must comply with Aspirus policy requiring flu and COVID vaccination or wear a mask at all times during flu season
Mileage reimbursement provided for travel from office base to client homes (not from personal residence)
