Physical Therapist

Role Overview

• Travel Physical Therapist assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin.
• Home Health setting serving adult and geriatric patients.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week.
• Shift: 4x10, with every other Friday off.
• Weekend coverage: rotates one Saturday every 6–8 weeks; no holidays.
• Float scope: Wausau, with potential to assist Antigo, Rhinelander, Rapids, Merrill, Stanley, and Medford.

Required Qualifications

• BLS.
• Wisconsin licensure.
• NPI number required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Home Health experience.
• Experience working with adult/geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and functional mobility diagnoses.
• Knowledge of Physical Therapy standards and practices acquired through a minimum of a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Travel experience required.

Work Details

• Mileage reimbursed at the government-approved rate.
• On-call may be used for low census hours.
• Call-back pay is available if called back in; minimum call-back is 2 hours.
• Low census hours: 36 unbillable hours.
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed.
• Scrubs: any color or business casual.

Charting / Equipment

• Laptop for point-of-service documentation.
• NetSmart EMR.
• Cell phone for GPS and communication.
